Welcome to Chandler Preparatory Academy
Chandler Prep stands two miles north of the Price Road innovation corridor, where semiconductor engineers and software designers remind us daily that clear thinking and strong character never go out of style. We serve students in grades 6-12—middle school and high school—and guide them through a seven-year educational experience. Because Chandler Prep belongs to the Great Hearts network, every lesson grows from the pursuit of Truth, Goodness, and Beauty.

Academic life at Chandler Prep begins in wonder and matures into mastery.
Middle-school students internalize the grammar of every discipline. They solve algebra problems that reveal the structure hidden inside numbers, trace Euclid’s first proofs with straightedge and compass, and learn to translate Latin sentences until word order no longer masks meaning. Literature selections—The Iliad, Beowulf, and The Tempest—train the moral imagination, while hands-on labs invite students to chart monsoon rainfall and model groundwater recharge for a city that knows drought firsthand.
By high school the curriculum widens into an honors sequence that rivals elite preparatory schools. Students spend two hours each day in Humane Letters, pairing primary-source history with authors from Dante to Dostoevsky; mathematics ascends through calculus or economics; laboratory sciences rely on original texts as often as modern manuals, so biology, chemistry, and physics remain tethered to the great chain of discovery. Four years of Latin or Spanish culminate in the ability to read Virgil without translation or carry on a fluent discussion of Cervantes. Graduates routinely earn National Merit recognition, gold medals on the National Latin Exam, and scholarships to engineering, liberal-arts, and conservatory programs across the country.
Yet Chandler Prep refuses to measure success by transcripts alone.
The heart of the program is virtue education woven quietly into everything: the patience required to master a Euclidean proof, the courage to deliver an unflinching speech, the temperance that comes from balanced study and leisure, and the justice practiced when older students mentor sixth-graders through the Spartan House system.
